
Welcome from The Charles F. Hamblen, American Legion Post 37. The Post has
been busy this year on various projects. Currently the Constitution and
By-Laws committee has reviewed these two documents and we will be voting on
them at our February 21st meeting. If you come by the Post, the
proposed changes are posted on our bulletin board. Please make plans to come
by at 1930 on the 21st and vote.
What your post has done in the past year for you and the community:
Post Building:

Complete update of the building electrical system.

Update on the kitchen systems.

Installation of a handicap ramp at the front of the post.
·
Installation of a wheel chair lift.
·
Installation of new windows.
·
Handicap update to female restroom.
·
Painting of 1st floor.
Post Programs:
·
Participation in County Veterans Day Program
·
Participation in County Memorial Day Program
·
Participation in County Christmas Parade
·
Volunteers Children’s Christmas Party
·
Volunteers National Guard and Family Farewell BBQ
·
Sponsored 6 H.S. students for Boys State
·
Awarded 4 H.S. ROTC Academic and Military Excellence awards.
·
Donated POW/MIA table to Claude Lassen Veterans Nursing Home
This year our post has moved forward and has decided to become Smoke-Free.
If this has been a deterrent for not visiting your post please make plans to
come down and enjoy your Post. Pete has been cooking up a storm in the
kitchen. Weekdays there is a great combination of sandwiches and dinners to
choose from with Friday being a Fried Fish dinner with sides and Saturday is
a Prime Rib dinner with sides. Hope to see you at the Post soon.
